Laurel Street Arts is Where Amazing Artists are born

Laurel Street Arts is a locally-owned, full-service, crafts studio specializing in pottery painting, mosaics, and glass fusing.

How It Works

1. PICK YOUR PROJECT – POTTERY, GLASS, MOSAIC
2. CREATE! WE CAN HELP WITH ANY OF YOUR PIECES
3. PICK-UP FIRED ART (GLASS &POTTERY) IN ONE WEEK

Paint Your Own Pottery

A newly opened kiln at Laurel Street Arts reveals pottery after it has been painted, glazed and fired. We have a large selection of bisque – pre-made, cleaned, once fired pottery – ranging from vases and pots to large platters, plates, bowls, and picture frames. For young children and the young at heart we have a menagerie of animals and other items to choose from.

You can choose from a library of design books, an array of stencils, stamps, stickers, and other pattern aids. Our friendly staff is available for coaching or consultation. All of our paints and materials are nontoxic.

After your piece is thoroughly dry, we will glaze and fire it in one of our kilns on-site. Your pottery work of art will be available for pick-up in approximately 7 days.

Glass Fusing

Glass fusing is a stunning art that joins glass pieces by arranging them and firing them in the kiln. There are many designs and slumps (molds) to choose from for you to come in and create platters, sun catchers, jewelry, bowls and more! While learning this new skill, you will also have the opportunity to learn how to cut your own glass in the studio — a fun and satisfying feat!

Mosaic

Mosaics are closely arranged pieces of glass or stone (and more!) that are glued down and grouted to create patterns and designs on various surfaces. In the studio we offer frames and a few different sizes of wood panels to work on and can source more depending on the project you have in mind. Mosaics are a wonderful lasting gift that you can complete and leave the studio with in the same day!

This is THE best Art studio!
My family & I recently discovered this amazing creative fun spot & plan to keep coming for years!
We love the new owner, Sheena! She’s been so welcoming & helpful!
I’m not as creative as my kids, but it doesn’t matter. Sheena has shown me many tricks & techniques that have helped me make some really cute pieces of Art!
I shocked myself.
If UR looking for a fun, creative place to hang out with family or friends, Laurel Street Arts is the place to be!
U won’t be disappointed!

I found this great place on yelp when I wanted to catchup with my bestie and paint on ceramic. We were greeted by Lena and she was very sweet and helped my friend figure out stuff with her 1st ever ceramic project! It was my 2nd experience on ceramic painting and I’d been to a different place before, one of the popular chains in the bay and I never got this kind of service or attention. Lena had a ton of ideas and gave us good suggestions. She even lent us some carbon paper to quickly transfer our designs.
The prices are very reasonable. We went there again to complete my work and we met the owner Cheryl and Cooper her handsome 4 legged. I felt more at home with Cooper’s calm energy 🙂
Cheryl is a very sweet woman who’s pretty helpful. They have all kinds of supplies to help you beautify your project!
If you are looking to get creative, meet a friend or a date and do something more than just a drink or a meal, Laurel street arts is the right place for you where you can take your drink and food too 🙂

My 7 year old daughter got a gift certificate to Laurel Street Arts and couldn’t wait to use it! She’d originally wanted to paint some pottery, but when she saw the fused glass pieces, changed her mind. We both chose 4″ flowers to decorate. The girl that helped us was great. She was friendly, gave us the instructions we needed, since it was our first time, and then left us to create. When we had a question or needed help, she was always available and helpful.

My daughter and I spent about an hour and a half creating a glass collage on our flower bases. We enjoyed creating our pieces and enjoyed the quiet (despite a summer camp class going on), calm atmosphere and never felt rushed to finish.

They called us a week later to come pick up our fused pieces. We were not disappointed! They turned out awesome! We will definitely be back.

Costs: $18 each for the 4″ flower base. (The price increases as your base becomes larger.) $8 studio fee for adults. $5 studio fee for children. (We got lucky and the day we went, it was buy 1 get the 2nd studio fee for free!)

Utilized during the summer for my Friends 8yr old daughter; they offer a number of ways to spark her creativity in a nice and organized store. Picked her up a few times and was impressed how they were on top of (not in a bad way) those walking in as I could’ve been a stranger (which is a great added security nowadays!)
Her daughter had so much fun this summer and is asking to go back again and again!!
Check them out and see for yourself!!

The staff of was friendly and helpful getting us set up to paint pottery and make glass mosaics. It was a lot of fun! The place was clean and well stocked with plenty of paint.

It was a bit pricey at $72 for 2 pieces of pottery and 2 small 4 inch plaques plus sitting fees (1/2 price for kids on Mondays). A good once in awhile activity to bring our creative sides out.

This is a great spot to paint some pottery or take a class! They also have glass fusing, which looks super cool and I’ll probably go back for. The staff is SO wonderful and nice, and give just the right amount of structure to be helpful but to also make you feel like you can do your own thing.

Bonus points if Cooper the lab is there, because he’s the sweetest of the sweet. Ask at the front desk if you can give him a cookie and he’ll give you a very professional handshake.

Just went tonight for the adult/late night session they hold once a month. I had so much fun and enjoyed my time there. The staff was great; they thoroughly explained the process, helped me and my friend with anything we needed and checked in with us several times.

I’ve been to chain ceramic painting places before and they are always so uptight about how much paint you use (actual amount & number of colors per piece), have limited tools, and hover way too much to a point that it’s overbearing. This place is the exact opposite of that!! They have found a great balance of relaxed but attentive and helpful.

Shop local, try this place out!

The owner Sheena is amazing and very accommodating. After a few weeks of summer camp, in person and online classes, everything has been very safe and fun. We recently had a small, social distanced outdoor private birthday party for my daughter last week and it was great!! Way to make a 9 year feel special!! I highly recommend.
