Mental health is a conversation more people are starting to have, and for good reason. Between the pressure of school, friendships, family, and everything else happening in the world, it can sometimes feel overwhelming. But imagine what a difference it would make if more people knew how to notice when someone was struggling, and felt confident enough to step in with kindness. That’s exactly the mission behind Be Sensitive, Be Brave: For Mental Health, a special training workshop coming to San Carlos for teens. This 2-hour in-person session is designed especially for high school students, grades 9–12. It’s a chance to build skills that matter far beyond the classroom: recognizing the signs of mental distress, offering support in the moment, and pointing friends and peers toward resources that can really help.
