Find Waldo, Win Prizes, and Flex Your Detective Skills in this San Carlos Scavenger Hunt
San Carlos, it’s time to go full detective mode—because Waldo’s gone rogue (again), and he’s hiding somewhere on Laurel Street. Think you’ve got what it takes to track down the king of red-and-white stripes? Then swing by The Reading Bug and jump into the citywide game of “Where’s Waldo in San Carlos?”
Here’s how it works
Starting July 1, you can pick up your official Waldo Card at The Reading Bug (785 Laurel Street). From there, you’ve got a whole month to explore local shops, restaurants, and downtown hideouts, filling your card every time you find Waldo or one of his elusive pals.
This isn’t just a kids’ thing—all ages are welcome, so drag your friends, your parents, or your dog (okay maybe not your dog) and get in on the hunt.
The grand finale?
A full-on Waldo celebration at The Reading Bug on Saturday, July 19, from 10AM to 5PM. Bring your completed card and score some epic prizes and giveaways. Basically, it’s like trick-or-treating, but with detective work and no sugar crash.
So what do you need to do?
- Stop by The Reading Bug anytime after July 1 to grab your Waldo Card. You may also register HERE
- Hunt for Waldo throughout July in participating local businesses.
- Come back on July 19 with your completed card and party like Waldo just gave you his glasses.
It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s the perfect excuse to shop local while feeling like a legend.
