Summer boredom? Never heard of her.
If you’ve got a teen (or are one) who thinks sitting at home scrolling TikTok is peak summer, the Extreme Adventure Camp in San Carlos is here to change your mind—and your schedule. This isn’t your average summer camp. We’re talking nonstop field trips, every single day from Monday to Wednesday, all summer long.
Okay, phones are probably allowed. But they’ll be too busy living real life.
Every week from July 7 to August 6, campers aged 13 to 17 are hitting up some of NorCal’s coolest spots:
No lectures. No crafts. Just vibes and adventure, all chaperoned by the pros at San Carlos Parks & Rec.

San Carlos Youth Center
Time: Monday to Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Fee: $395 per week (cheaper than most theme park tickets these days, honestly)
Each week is a whole new lineup. You can pick your faves or go all in and book more than one:
Week 1 (July 7–9):
Cull Canyon, Alcatraz, K1 Racing
Class #21131
Week 2 (July 14–16):
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Pacific Pinball Museum, Calibunga

Week 3 (July 21–23):

Spots fill fast—this camp’s got a fan club. If you’re ready to lock in some epic memories, hit up the City of San Carlos Parks & Rec site and get registered.
