Diner Days Luncheon at the ACC

Diner Days Luncheon : A Luncheon That’s More Than Lunch
Why settle for an ordinary midday bite when you can have a themed meal, a glass of wine (or cider), dessert, and live entertainment — all wrapped up in a friendly community vibe? San Carlos’ Diner Days Luncheon is back this fall, and it’s serving more than just food: it’s dishing up connection, laughter, and a side of local fun.
This monthly series is all about slowing down and enjoying the simple pleasures. On Friday, September 12, 2025, you’re invited to Parkview’s Patio Room at the ACC for a noontime gathering that turns “lunchtime” into an event worth circling on your calendar.
What’s on the Menu
Each Diner Days Luncheon comes with a choice of entrée:
- Classic Meatloaf for those who love a hearty, nostalgic dish.
- Eggplant Parmesan for a delicious vegetarian option that doesn’t skimp on flavor.
Every plate also includes a themed side, dessert, and your choice of wine or cider to toast the afternoon.
And because no meal is complete without music, each luncheon includes live entertainment to make the atmosphere as enjoyable as the food. Expect toe-tapping tunes or soothing background melodies — depending on the day’s vibe — while you savor every bite.
Why Go?
- It’s social: Meet neighbors, share stories, and connect over a shared meal.
- It’s indulgent: Dessert + a glass of wine or cider = an upgraded lunch.
- It’s entertaining: The live performance adds a spark to your Friday.
- It’s flexible: Choose your favorite entrée: Meatloaf or Eggplant Parmesan.
- It’s easy: One ticket covers everything: no potluck dishes to prep.

About Friends of the ACC
The Friends of the SCACC enable you to express your support and recognition of the value of the Adult Community Center in the San Carlos community. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation designed to receive and administer donations, grants and bequests to exclusively support the center. The Friends of SCACC is about: Caring, Helping, Remembering
The San Carlos community has demonstrated over the years that it cares for all its diverse groups, and particularly the elderly. In 1982 the city built the Adult Community Center and since then has continued a series of programs designed to add to the quality of life of our seniors.
Funding limitations can materially impact the improvement and expansion of services. The community, however, recognized the need for helping the ACC. Scores of volunteers from throughout the city, including The Friends, have donated countless hours each year to sustain existing services and add others.
The ACC has played a positive role in the lives of many San Carlos seniors. Many seniors have acknowledged this by making voluntary donations, bequests, and including the Adult Community Center in their Estate Plans as a way of remembering its impact on their lives and the lives of others.
A Tax-Exempt, Non Profit Organization
The Friends of the SCACC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to accept financial gifts for the ACC. Funds received are carefully used for the development and improvement of programs and services which exceed budgetary constraints of the City of San Carlos.
For more details, about how you can assist the Adult Community Center with gifts and bequests, call (650) 802-4384, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
