Blacks, Whites, and Everything‑in‑Between (4‑Week Watercolor Series)

October 15 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Blacks, Whites, and Everything‑in‑Between (4‑Week Watercolor Series)

Light, shadow, and the colors that live between them. In this hands‑on series with watercolor artist Olga Muñoz, you’ll explore how value, hue, and temperature transform a flat sheet of paper into luminous studies of form. Over four Wednesday evenings, you’ll build fluency in mixing, layering, and seeing—because painting is really the art of translating light.

Schedule & Location

  • Dates: Wednesdays — October 1, 8, 15, and 22, 2025
  • Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (America/Los_Angeles)
  • Venue: Art Bias, Studio 114, 1700 Industrial Road, San Carlos, CA 94070
  • Tuition: $350 for the full 4‑week series
  • Materials: All materials included

What You’ll Learn

Each session deepens a core watercolor skill, with demos, guided exercises, and personal feedback. Expect to paint every class—and to leave with studies you’ll be proud of.

  • Week 1 — Value & Seeing in Black and White: Grayscale scales, wet‑on‑wet vs. wet‑on‑dry, lifting and soft edges. How to simplify a subject into big value shapes.
  • Week 2 — Neutrals & Everything‑in‑Between: Mixing rich neutrals without mud, controlling saturation, and creating depth with limited palettes.
  • Week 3 — Light, Temperature, and Edges: Warm/cool relationships, hard vs. lost edges, glazing for glow. Studies of reflective and matte surfaces.
  • Week 4 — From Study to Statement: Planning a small finished piece; composition, focal points, and confident brushwork. Group share and feedback.

Why This Series Works

  • Materials provided, so you can focus on learning (and not your shopping list).
  • Steady momentum: four structured sessions to build skill, not just one‑off tips.
  • Personal feedback from Olga every class.
