You Be the Winemaker: Craft It, Bottle It, Love It at Harvest at Domenico!

If you have ever dreamed of making your own wine, the 23rd Annual Bacchus Harvest Party at Domenico Winery offers the perfect opportunity to turn that dream into reality. On Sunday, August 16, 2026, wine lovers, families, friends, and colleagues are invited to Domenico Winery in San Carlos for an unforgettable afternoon of wine tasting, delicious food, community, and the beginning of a personal winemaking adventure.

This is much more than another wine event. It is your chance to step into the role of winemaker, explore exceptional varietals, and choose the grapes you will use for your own wine during the 2026 Fall Crush Season. From the moment you arrive, you will be surrounded by the excitement of harvest and the anticipation of wines that have yet to be created.

A Celebration of Wine and Winemaking

The Bacchus Harvest Party brings together passionate wine enthusiasts and Bacchus Club members for an afternoon designed to inspire creativity and connection. Guests can savor more than 20 distinctive wines, compare different varietals, meet fellow wine lovers, and discover which grapes best suit their tastes.

Your ticket includes access to the exclusive wine tasting, chef-curated charcuterie, cheeses, and artisanal bites. It is also an opportunity to build friendships and create memories while learning more about the winemaking process.

Most importantly, this is the day to taste these vintages and select the grapes you want to craft during the upcoming harvest season. Whether you are an experienced wine enthusiast, a Silicon Valley socialite, or simply looking for a unique experience with friends, family, or colleagues, Harvest at Domenico gives you a chance to create something truly your own.

Choose Your Grapes, Create Your Wine

Several exciting grape selections and barrel options are available. From Amador County, Lodi, or Tracy Hills, choices include Aglianico, Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot, Montepulciano, Mourvèdre, Nero d’Avola, Old Vine Zinfandel, Pinot Grigio, Primitivo, and Sangiovese.

Quarter barrels produce six cases for $1,387.50, while half barrels produce 12 cases for $2,375. A full barrel produces 24 cases for $4,750.

For Santa Cruz Mountains selections, available varietals include Cabernet Franc Carignan, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Six cases are available for $1,762.50, 12 cases for $3,125, and 24 cases for $6,250.

What Your Winemaking Experience Includes

Full barrels include complimentary analysis for pH, titratable acidity, alcohol percentage, and residual sugar, along with complimentary French oak staves and a blending trial of up to two varietal additions. Participants also receive bottles, corks, PVC capsules, and up to two opportunities to barrel-taste their wine during aging. Blending trials are available for an additional fee.

Half-barrel participants receive complimentary alcohol analysis, bottles, corks, PVC capsules, and up to two barrel-tasting opportunities during aging. Blending trials are available for an additional fee. Quarter barrels include complimentary alcohol analysis, bottles, corks, PVC capsules, and up to two barrel-tasting opportunities, but blending trials are not available.

Share the Experience

If a barrel sounds like more wine than you can handle alone, bring your friends, family, colleagues, or fellow wine lovers and share both the cost and the fun. After all, an Italian proverb says, “A barrel of wine creates more miracles than a church full of saints.”

It is a chance to start a tradition, celebrate the harvest, and enjoy the satisfaction of watching your carefully chosen grapes become wine. You will proudly share someday.

General admission is $40. Domenico members receive tickets for $30, with two tickets available per household. Two tickets per half barrel purchased can also be credited toward the wine purchase. Active Bacchus and former Bacchus members receive complimentary tickets: four for a full barrel and two for a half barrel.
