The Friends of San Carlos ACC are thrilled to introduce the Lunch Bunch, an exciting monthly event bringing together older adults and local restaurants for a shared dining experience filled with flavor, fun, and friendships. Each month, this group explores a different restaurant in San Carlos, savoring local cuisine while supporting the community’s vibrant food scene. Our inaugural Lunch Bunch happened at Molly O’s – a smashing success! The attendees were treated to a delicious three-course meal that included non-alcoholic beverages, tax, and tip for a set price. With smiles all around, it was clear the Lunch Bunch had already created something special.
Our next Lunch Bunch outing takes us to Sakura San Carlos, located at 744 Laurel Street. Join us for an unforgettable meal, featuring a specially curated menu:
You can meet us at Sakura San Carlos or join the ACC group at 11:00 a.m. to walk over together. Space is limited to 30 attendees, so be sure to sign up early!
For more details or to reserve your spot, please ask at the ACC front desk. We can’t wait to see you there—bring a friend or two and get ready to make new ones!
The Friends of the SCACC enable you to express your support and recognition of the value of the Adult Community Center in the San Carlos community. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation designed to receive and administer donations, grants and bequests to exclusively support the center. The Friends of SCACC is about: Caring, Helping, Remembering
The San Carlos community has demonstrated over the years that it cares for all its diverse groups, and particularly the elderly. In 1982 the city built the Adult Community Center and since then has continued a series of programs designed to add to the quality of life of our seniors.
Funding limitations can materially impact the improvement and expansion of services. The community, however, recognized the need for helping the ACC. Scores of volunteers from throughout the city, including The Friends, have donated countless hours each year to sustain existing services and add others.
The ACC has played a positive role in the lives of many San Carlos seniors. Many seniors have acknowledged this by making voluntary donations, bequests, and including the Adult Community Center in their Estate Plans as a way of remembering its impact on their lives and the lives of others.
A Tax-Exempt, Non Profit Organization
The Friends of the SCACC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to accept financial gifts for the ACC. Funds received are carefully used for the development and improvement of programs and services which exceed budgetary constraints of the City of San Carlos.
For more details, about how you can assist the Adult Community Center with gifts and bequests, call (650) 802-4384, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
