Generation Buddies: Recipe and Thank You Cards – Building Connections Across Generations!
On November 18, 2024, join us in the Chestnut Room, ACC for an evening of connection, creativity, and community at Generation Buddies – a new program by the Adult Community Center (ACC) in collaboration with the Youth Advisory Council. This program aims to bridge the generational gap by bringing together seniors and youth for meaningful activities and shared experiences.
What is Generation Buddies?
Generation Buddies is a special initiative designed to foster friendships between seniors and young community members. Each month, participants gather to take part in enjoyable, interactive activities that promote learning, sharing, and bonding. Afterward, everyone shares a delicious meal, creating an environment where stories, laughter, and perspectives can flow across generations.
November’s Theme: Recipe & Thank You Cards For this session, participants will work on creating Recipe & Thank You Cards. This activity is perfect for the holiday season, as both seniors and youth can share their favorite family recipes, exchange cooking tips, and create heartfelt thank-you cards together. It’s a wonderful opportunity for the youth to learn cherished recipes from seasoned cooks while seniors get to enjoy the fresh ideas and enthusiasm of the younger generation.
