The much awaited faire of the year is here. Now on its 32nd, the 2024 San Carlos Art & Wine Faire is estimated to attract a whopping 50,000 crowd from all across the peninsula over the course of the weekend. Laurel Street will be packed with a total of 197 artists, live music, parties, drinks, and delicious food for all.
So, what else is new this at the Faire this 2024? Lets look at the list below:
What’s New at this year’s Art & Wine Faire
- The Car Show is back. Come and experience the roar of engines and the beauty of automated design. Dubbed as the “Ultimate Car Show”, the exhibit will be located at the 1300 Block, San Carlos Ave, and will showcase tons of vintage cars, muscle cars, hyper cars, and at the end of the weekend, several cars will compete for the prize at the Car Competition. Live Music is played all throughout the exhibit.\
- Sangria and Mimosa Booths. A “first” this 2024, sangria and mimosa booths will be available at Beverage Booths 2 & 4, near Harrington Food Court and the San Carlos Ave + Laurel Street Crossing.
- Parking Info. Take note of this: free parking is now located in the Alexandria. Free parking is no longer located in the Palo Alto Medical Foundation building. Shuttles to and from the Alexandria will be available from 9am – 7pm. You may also park at (1) The Wheeler Plaza Garage (San Carlos Public Parking) which offers two floors of parking), SamTrans Building Garage, and the City Hall Underground Parking. Valet parking for bikes are available at the SamTrans Building Courtyard.

Metalphoria, by Kristen Hoard (Booth 634)
Kristen combines rich, glowing LED light art into both metal wall art and metal sculptures. The light can radiate from behind, reflecting in intricate grinded patterns, or it can become a color changing glow emanating from within a hollowed metal core. The effect is to bring light, movement and energy to the designs transforming the piece into a different sculpture at night.

Steven Albaranes have been designing butterfly displays since January 1990. His exotic butterflies and acrylic displays are of the finest quality in the world. The butterflies displayed in his clear acrylic displays have the appearance of flying around your home.

Sean Free Alcala is a contemporary glass artist living and working in Salida, California. As a Bay Area native and nature enthusiast, he has always been deeply connected to the environment, especially the beaches, rivers and lakes of the West Coast. His primary glass aesthetic is based around the color, movement and energy of water.
