Gear Up for the Fourth Annual San Carlos Tour de Family Bike Fair and Fun Ride!
Get ready to pedal your way to fun as San Carlos hosts its fourth annual Tour de Family Bike Fair and Fun Ride on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Bring the whole family, grab your bikes and wheels, and enjoy a day packed with activities that celebrate biking, learning, and community spirit. Here’s what you can expect:
Fun Ride
Gather with fellow riders in front of Central Middle School between 9:30 AM and 9:45 AM. The Fun Ride kicks off promptly at 10 AM, led by sheriffs on bikes for a safe and enjoyable experience. This easy-paced, family-friendly ride loops about 1 mile around the block surrounding Central Middle School. Streets will remain open to vehicle traffic, so riders are reminded to stay on the right side of the road and ride safely as a group.
Rain Date: If it rains, don’t worry! The ride will be rescheduled for the following Sunday, February 9, 2025, same time and place. Registrants will receive email updates, so be sure to register in advance!
Bike Fair
Once the riders return to Central Middle School around 10:30 AM, the Bike Fair begins! With something for everyone, here’s what’s in store:
- Bike Maintenance & Safety: Stations offering free bike repairs, bike fit adjustments, and e-bike safety tips.
- Learn-to-Ride Clinic: A space for new riders to learn and practice.
- Obstacle Course: Test your skills on ramps and challenges.
- Safety Giveaways: Free bike lights, bells, mirrors, spoke reflectors, and more, with mechanics on hand to help with installations.
- Tasty Treats: Enjoy free donuts and earn prizes for participating in activities. Papachay Coffee will be onsite selling coffee and possibly empanadas.

- Cost: Free! Thanks to sponsorship by the Community Foundation of San Carlos and San Carlos Parks and Rec Foundation.
- Who Can Join: Everyone! This event is designed for all ages and skill levels.
- Registration: Advance registration is required and includes signing a waiver.

Passionate about biking or street safety? We’d love your help! Sign up as a corner captain during the Fun Ride or assist with bike maintenance, safety education, or at the fair’s prize, donut, or welcome booths. Your contributions make this event a success!
