Sunday, April 6 at 11:00 AM – something delightfully hilarious (and a little horrifying) is happening at The Reading Bug in San Carlos!
Sandra Salsbury
Local author and illustrator Sandra Salsbury is stopping by to read her new picture book, The Baby Who Stayed Awake Forever. If you’ve ever begged a baby—just once—to please, please sleep, this book is your story. Except funnier. And illustrated. And possibly triggering if you’re running on 3 hours of sleep and cold coffee.
It’s part comedy for kids, part horror for parents, and 100% relatable. After storytime, stick around for a hands-on craft led by the ever-wonderful Dede from The Reading Bug.
Here’s what you need to know:
When: Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM
Where: The Reading Bug, San Carlos
Who it’s for: Kids ages baby to 7, and parents who know the struggle. Craft time is best for ages 3 and up.
Why you should come: Laugh, craft, and snag a signed copy of the book. (Hot tip: It makes a great baby shower gift for your sleep-deprived friends.)
So come for the giggles, stay for the glue sticks, and leave with a signed book and maybe a little more sympathy for your own inner zombie parent.
