Get ready to kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a bang at The Alexandria! On the Friday before the big day, we’re turning our venue into an emerald wonderland! Picture this: green beer and cocktails with a lucky twist, and our club decked out in vibrant green decorations to really set the mood.

We’re pulling out all the stops to make sure you have an unforgettable night. Imagine shamrocks dangling from the ceiling, leprechauns peeking out from behind the bar, and twinkling lights casting a magical glow over the dance floor. It’s going to be a visual feast!

So grab your friends, put on your greenest attire, and come join us for a pre-St. Patrick’s Day celebration like no other at The Alexandria. Let’s paint the town green together and make memories that will last a lifetime!

The Alexandria is open to the public for all food, beverage, and social events!

There are approximately 4 social events per month. There is a lot of variety and they always try to bring in new and exciting forms of entertainment, bands, game nights and much more! Although The Alexandria closes at 6:00 PM, the place stays open as late as needed for social event nights.

The social events are OPEN TO ALL, please feel free to join and bring family and friends!

About the Restaurant: Salt + Brine

Salt + Brine are open Monday through Friday for regular service from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. “Regular Service” is explained below..

• Coffee: Served from 7:00 AM till the entire day.
• Lunch: Served from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM
• Happy Hour: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM  – $2 off all drinks: full bar, craft cocktails, 12 local beers on draft, and signature wines.
• Alcoholic Drinks: Served from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Food: Modern American with an emphasis on fresh, local, and variety. Mix of counter service and grab + go. Enjoy our menu’s seasonal harvest bowls with goat cheese, sweet peaches, and savory walnuts, various rotating paninis, and delicious baked goods.

Drink (AM): Stop by the coffee bar at any hour of the day to enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon pick me up. Enjoy a luxurious cafe experience featuring a La Marzocco espresso machine with artisan espresso beans sourced from Café Luxxe.

Drink (PM): Salt + Brine offers a complete bar experience, featuring a curated craft cocktail menu, a selection of rare and exceptional spirits, and freshly squeezed fruit juices.

Fresh, local coffee in the morning, tailored gin + tonics at happy hour, intimate nooks to get-away, and communal tables to connect. It is the perfect everyday vehicle for interaction, eliminating hurdles to use and adding reasons to stay.

It can be dressed up, or dressed down, used for impromptu business meetings, or team social hours.

Reflecting the duality of the tranquil yet buzzing hub interactivity of neighboring tidal marshlands at Bair Island, Salt + Brine sits on the threshold where the giant sequoias give way to the Bay.

Our Story

The Alexandria is the crossroads for The Alexandria Center for Life Sciences (ACLS) community. A members-only club that welcomes all of the ACLS tenants and that extends an open invitation for all others to join and actively engage in making a positive and meaningful impact on our world.

How Our Journey Began

The idea for a private club at ACLS was born of a desire to connect people with common interests in a social club set in the heart of Silicon Valley’s hub for science and technology. Invited and Alexandria Real Estate Equities have already successfully partnered in bringing together entrepreneurs and creatives in an energetic environment at The Collective in Seattle’s South Lake Union cluster. With The Alexandria at San Carlos, the team saw the opportunity to create a space that blended the surrounding nature of the tidal marshlands with the buzzing hub of innovation the area is known for.

Our Space

Our dynamic space in the heart of San Carlos is a place of comfort and community, with productivity zones, quiet enclaves and plenty of spots for socializing and coming together. We looked to the tidal marshlands for inspiration in creating a space that is both tranquil and engaging, so you can come to both relax and innovate.
