The Exciting San Carlos Scavenger Hunt
Clue Me In! San Carlos Scavenger Hunt Returns June 29
Mark your calendars and tighten those shoelaces—the San Carlos Scavenger Hunt is back this June 29 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and it’s going to be a wild ride (on foot, that is)!
Hosted by the SCCT Youth Advisory Board, this free, all-ages event kicks off at Burton Park Stage Area (900 Chestnut St., San Carlos). Whether you’re 5 or 95, you’re invited to join in the quirky, clue-filled chaos that winds through the streets of San Carlos.
Registration opens online Sunday, June 1—early birds might just catch a special hint if they sign up ahead of time!
How It Works:
- Teams will follow clues, solve puzzles, and take on some hilarious challenges.
- No cars allowed (this is a hunt, not a race), but bikes, scooters, skates, wagons, and strollers are all fair game for the under-18 crowd. Sorry, grown-up cyclists—you’re on foot.
- Players under 12 must be teamed up with someone 16 or older.
Team Divisions & Prizes:
- Kids
- Teen
- Adult
- Family
- Young Family (perfect for those with kiddos 7 and under—this route is a little shorter but just as fun!)
Winners in each division will score some sweet prizes. The first team in each division to finish gets a 50-point bonus, but everyone earns points for each challenge completed. Think brains, not just brawn!
What You’ll Need:
- One phone per team (for clue-checking and possible selfies)
- Comfy shoes (your feet will thank you)
- A good sense of humor (trust us, you’ll need it)
Check-in starts at 9:15 AM, and the hunt begins right at 10:00 AM sharp—no fashionably late starts allowed!
So grab your crew, fuel up on breakfast, and get ready to laugh, puzzle, and dash your way through downtown San Carlos. This is your chance to show off your team spirit, brainpower, and maybe your best victory dance.
