Make Your Own Stunning Portuguese Azulejo Tile Art with Gigi Luke (And Yes, Dinner’s Included)
Want to do something a little artsy (and a little fancy) this July? Join local artist Gigi Luke on Wednesday, July 16 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 641 Laurel Street, San Carlos for a creative morning that’s all about beauty, color, and good vibes.
At this 2-hour Portuguese Azulejo Tile Painting Workshop, you’ll learn how to design your own ceramic tile using the classic patterns of Portugal’s famous hand-painted Azulejos. Gigi will walk you through each step—no experience needed. Seriously, even if you can’t draw a stick figure, you’ll leave feeling like a tile-painting pro.
But wait, it gets better. Before the painting starts, you’ll sit down for a homemade vegan meal and a refreshing drink—because art is better on a full stomach.
Once your masterpiece is painted, it’ll be kiln-fired and ready for pickup in about a week. Perfect as a one-of-a-kind decor piece, a unique gift, or just a reminder that you actually made art this summer.
Tickets are $75, which includes dinner, materials, instruction, and firing. Space is super limited, so snag your spot before it’s gone.
