Parent and Me – Fun Try It Wheel Classes at Laurel Street Art
Spin It to Win It: Try Pottery Together at Parent and Me Wheel Class at The Clay Lounge
Tired of fridge magnets and finger paintings? Wanna try something new with your kid that doesn’t involve glitter, screens, or a meltdown in the car ride home? Meet Parent and Me Try-It Wheel Classes—a seriously cool way to bond over clay (and maybe a little friendly competition) at The Clay Lounge in San Carlos.
This one-time class is perfect for first-timers and curious creatives alike. You and your child (ages 10 and up only—no exceptions, sorry little sibs) will spend 2 hours learning the basics of wheel throwing from not one, but two instructors, so you’ll get plenty of hands-on help.
The best part? You each get to pick one piece to keep. The Clay Lounge team will take care of trimming, glazing, and firing it for you—so you don’t even have to pretend you know what a kiln is. If you fall in love with more than one of your creations (it happens), you can pay to keep the extras.
The Details:
- When: Tuesday, July 22, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Where: The Clay Lounge, 620 El Camino Real, San Carlos
- Cost: $105/person (yes, that means $210 total for you and your mini-me)
- Who: Kids 10+ with an adult who’s also in on the fun
Expect muddy hands, messy aprons, and lots of laughs. Your finished masterpiece will be ready for pickup in about 6–8 weeks, just enough time to start planning where you’ll display it like the proud pottery parent you are.
Spots are super limited (this isn’t a mega class), so sign up early if you want in on this wheel-y fun day.
