No Foolin Foot Race 2025: 5K/10K Amazing Trail Run

April 26 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Get Your Kicks at the No Foolin Foot Race!

Ready, Set, Go!

Lace up those sneakers and join us for a fantastic run through San Carlos’ most scenic trails at the third annual No Foolin’ Foot Race – where every step is a step in the right direction! Be it a 5K (with 530 feet of “uphill battle”) or a 10K (climbing 1,500 feet – talk about peak performance!) run, the routes through Big Canyon and Eaton Parks will have you “climbing” to new heights. And for our juniors (ages 5–10), a fun 1-mile course with 350 feet of climb awaits—perfect for little feet with big dreams!

Start & Finish Festival: Kick off and cap off your race day with a celebration at Crestview Park.

All proceeds sprint towards keeping our trails in tip-top shape, so you can run with pride. Brought to you by the Parks and Recreation Foundation of San Carlos and the City of San Carlos.

2025 Registration is officially in full stride – don’t miss those early bird rates!

Logistics & Policies

Start Times:

  • 10K: 9:00 AM
  • 5K: 9:30 AM
  • Kids Course: 9:35 AM
(Times are TBC—so keep your stopwatch ready!)

Bib Pickup:
Collect your race bibs at Crestview Park between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM on race day. Arrive early!

Parking:
Street parking is available along Brittan Ave. and Crestview Drive. Since there’s no participant parking at Crestview Park, carpooling is strongly encouraged—more fun and fewer cars!

Course Markings:
Follow the white flags (5K) and green surveyor tape (10K) as your trail “beacons” to victory. At intersections, white signs will guide you. If you find yourself off course, do 10 jumping jacks (yes, really!) to “reset” your run, then retrace your steps. Yellow trail spray and caution tape will steer you away from the wrong path, and our friendly course monitors are on hand to lend a helping hand (and a smile).

Park Perks:
Dash through the dazzling Big Canyon and Eaton Parks, with a grand Start & Finish Festival at Crestview Park—nature’s very own finish line fiesta!

Timing & Chips:
All races are professionally chip-timed by A Runner’s Mind Productions, so every second of your sprint is captured—no time for foolin’ around! (Chips are attached to your bib for your convenience.)

Cut Off Times:
Don’t let the clock beat you! Cross the finish line by 11:30 AM, or your time won’t be recorded.

Amenities:

  • Restrooms: With changing tables at Crestview Park
  • Spectator Comfort: Playground, drinking fountains, and picnic tables—perfect for cheering on your favorite runner!

Spectating Spots:
Bring your cheer squad! Great views await at the mouth of Big Canyon Park, along Hawk Hill Bypass in Eaton Park, and at the epic final climb of the 10K near the Brittan Ave and Crestview Drive intersection.

Aid Stations:
Need a quick pick-me-up? A special aid station for 10K runners is set up at the Eaton Labyrinth—your oasis on the run!

Post-Race Party:
After you cross that finish line, cool off with plenty of water, Skratch, and a selection of sweet and savory treats. It’s the perfect way to “treat” your taste buds after a wonderful run.

Dog Policy:
Furry friends are welcome to spectate, but please keep them on a leash—they’re here for the applause, not the race!

Volunteers:
Every great race is fueled by an amazing crew! If you’re not running, consider volunteering.
