Get ready to embark on an exciting journey into nature with our upcoming “microadventure” to Belmont’s Waterdog Lake! Mark your calendars for two unforgettable evenings: Monday, June 10th, and Monday, June 17th. We will meet at 6:00 PM at the Waterdog Lake Southlake Trailhead, located at 2400 Lyall Way, Belmont, CA 94002.
What’s in Store?
This event is part of our “My Summer Adventure” initiative, aimed at encouraging community members to step outside and explore the natural wonders around them. Whether you’re an avid hiker or just looking for a relaxing evening outdoors, this microadventure offers something for everyone.
Hike the Lake Loop Trail
Adult attendees will have the chance to hike the beautiful “lake loop trail.” This trail offers a scenic route around Waterdog Lake, providing stunning views and a serene atmosphere. It’s a perfect way to unwind after a busy day and connect with nature.
Nature Journaling with Library Staff
In addition to the hike, participants can engage in nature journaling, a mindful and creative way to document your experiences and observations. Staff from the Belmont and San Carlos Libraries will be on hand to guide you through the process, offering tips and inspiration for capturing the beauty of your surroundings in your journal.

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience, please come prepared with the following:
