Trick or treating for adults (and families) in teams of 1 to 5! Bring a headlamp or flashlight, and adventure through the wickedly decorated neighborhoods of San Carlos, finding awesome displays, and answering simple multiple choice questions about each… about 20 checkpoints on the 5k, 36 on the 10k. Enjoy refreshments & socializing at the finish!

Course Details
Gender Divisions: Women, Men, Mixed
Age Divisions: Junior, Open, Masters (average age 40+), Family (juniors and adults)
Team Size: 1 to 5
Completing the course: The course checkpoints will be shown with circles on the map. Find your way to the house at the center of each circle, and answer a simple multiple choice question like “Who is dressed as a Vampire on the roof?” (answer could be like Homer Simpson), and you’re off to the next one.
Gear Up
This event will happen rain or shine, so gear up accordingly. Closed-toed shoes are recommended. A light is essential, headlamps work best.

Directions
Location: Chestnut Picnic Area, Burton Park, 1001 Chestnut Street, San Carlos, CA 94070
From U.S. Highway 101, take the Holly St. exit in San Carlos. Head away from the bay, towards the ocean and hills, and under the train tracks to El Camino Real, where you turn left. After about 0.6 miles on El Camino, turn right onto Arroyo Ave. After about 0.4 miles, turn left onto Chestnut St. Park near the tennis courts; the Chestnut Picnic Area is by the tennis courts and the bocce courts.
Public Transit
The picnic area is about 0.9 miles on foot or bike from the San Carlos Caltrain Station. If you get off a SamTrans bus near El Camino Real and Arroyo Ave., it is about 0.5 miles on foot or bike.
