Join us at City Hall at 7 PM for the “City of San Carlos Proclamation” of the United Against Hate Week in San Carlos, where our City Council brings attention to the crucial issues of inclusion and anti-bullying. San Carlos has long been known as the “City of Good Living,” and as our community becomes more diverse, it’s essential that we work together to ensure that all residents can truly experience that “good living.”
We commend the Council for recognizing the United Against Hate – Inclusion programs and are grateful for their partnership in building a stronger, more inclusive community.
Come out and show your support for our elected officials and help us kick off a meaningful week of activities.

United Against Hate Week happens in San Carlos on September 22-28, 2024
– is a call for local civic action to stop the hate and implicit biases that are a threat to the safety and civility of our neighborhoods, towns, and cities. We want to empower local residents to take action in their local communities and alter the course of this growing intolerance. When cities and their residents work together against hate, we can restore respect and civil discourse, embrace the strength of diversity and build inclusive and equitable communities for all.
Join us! You can post signs, host events, share stories, attend rallies, and connect with schools and neighborhood civic institutions. Nothing is too small, because working united in each community is what will defeat hate in all communities.

UAH Week 2024: Community Conversation & Dinner
You’re invited to a community supper to discuss the theme of “Inclusion.” For the past several years, the Foundation has actively participated in the nationwide “United Against Hate” campaign. This year, after engaging with San Carlos residents and leaders, we’ve identified bullying—particularly among our youth—as a pressing concern.
UAH Week 2024: Teacher Appreciation at Reach & Teach
Join the Reach And Teach Bookshop team for a special inclusive event designed just for local teachers! Enjoy complimentary refreshments, explore a variety of anti-bullying resources, and engage in cooperative games with fellow educators. Since 2017 we have come together with state and local leaders, community members, activists, and so many others to stand United Against Hate. Our message is clear – we reject hate of any kind and believe that building a safer and more equitable world starts by working together.

United Against Hate was created by civic leaders in direct response to the sharp rise in expressions of hate in our communities. We want to empower local residents to take action in their local communities and alter the course of this growing intolerance.
