Blacks, Whites, and Everything‑in‑Between (4‑Week Watercolor Series)
Blacks, Whites, and Everything‑in‑Between (4‑Week Watercolor Series)
Light, shadow, and the colors that live between them. In this hands‑on series with watercolor artist Olga Muñoz, you’ll explore how value, hue, and temperature transform a flat sheet of paper into luminous studies of form. Over four Wednesday evenings, you’ll build fluency in mixing, layering, and seeing—because painting is really the art of translating light.

- Week 1 — Value & Seeing in Black and White: Grayscale scales, wet‑on‑wet vs. wet‑on‑dry, lifting and soft edges. How to simplify a subject into big value shapes.
- Week 2 — Neutrals & Everything‑in‑Between: Mixing rich neutrals without mud, controlling saturation, and creating depth with limited palettes.
- Week 3 — Light, Temperature, and Edges: Warm/cool relationships, hard vs. lost edges, glazing for glow. Studies of reflective and matte surfaces.
- Week 4 — From Study to Statement: Planning a small finished piece; composition, focal points, and confident brushwork. Group share and feedback.
