Generation Buddies is an intergenerational program designed to bring older adults and youth together for hands‑on activities, good food, and even better conversation. This month’s gathering is a Beaded Craft Night—a relaxed, affordable, and welcoming evening where participants create small keepsakes while building big connections. Whether you’re a first‑time crafter or a seasoned maker, you’ll find friendly faces, patient guidance, and a table full of supplies to spark ideas.

What Is Generation Buddies?
Generation Buddies is a collaboration supported by ACC and the Youth Advisory Council. The program’s mission is simple: create meaningful interactions between generations—through making, sharing, listening, and learning. Each month features a different activity that’s easy to try and satisfying to complete in a single session. This month we’re stringing beads, telling stories, and enjoying a light shared meal that encourages conversation across ages.

About Beaded Craft Night
Beading is the perfect low‑pressure, high‑creativity activity. It offers quick wins (hello, finished bracelet!) and endless possibilities for color, pattern, and symbolism. You’ll find trays of beads in different sizes, spacers, charms, and findings—plus elastic and wire options so you can choose your level of challenge. Volunteers and staff will be on hand to help with design ideas, finishing closures, and making pieces gift‑ready. Expect an easy pace, lots of encouragement, and the satisfying clink of beads meeting the mat.
