Mark your calendar and join us at City Hall Council Chambers on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, as we honor the remarkable 25th Anniversary of the San Carlos Week of the Family. This special evening celebrates a quarter-century of bringing our community together through fun, interactive, and family-focused activities.
A Legacy of Community Building
In 1999, then-City Council member Don Eaton envisioned an event that would bring families closer and foster community connections. With the help of a small group of friends, his dream became a reality with the creation of the San Carlos Week of the Family. This initiative quickly grew into a cherished tradition, promoting shared experiences for residents of all ages.
Fast forward 25 years, the Week of the Family has expanded into a ten-day celebration featuring more than forty unique activities, supported by a dedicated committee of over 45 volunteers. From its humble beginnings, this event has become a cornerstone of San Carlos’ community spirit.
