Hey San Carlos! The City Council is giving you a teaser of what downtown will look like – very soon! See it by taking the City’s 6-minute survey meant to get your feedback on the proposed look, feel, and character of the upcoming newly designed streets. Let them hear your thoughts on the trees and flowers to be planted, the sidewalks’ material and design, and so on. The City would also like to ask if you prefer seeing more urban art around town: as murals, in gateways, crosswalks, as historical markers, or as temporary displays in certain parts of the city.
For a bit of background: On December 9, 2023, members of the San Carlos community took part in the Downtown Ideation Workshop to give feedback on design ideas for public spaces. The streetscape concepts were approved by City Council on June 10th, 2024 and a technical analysis is ongoing. Meanwhile, the project team is working on selecting design elements like materials, plants, and street furniture through this survey.
Take the Survey
The San Carlos Downtown Streetscape Survey will be open only until August 30, so if you have a few minutes to spare, the City would very much appreciate your feedback.
