This was our third or fourth visit to Cask over the years. It’s become a tradition to have dinner here before going to see the holiday lights on Eucalyptus Street. We always enjoy the heater outdoor patio and the service is fantastic.
Tonight we enjoyed the Cask’s Mixed Green salad with/ dried cranberries, candied walnuts, carrots and house-made red wine vinaigrette, the Green Apple and Prosciutto Flat Bread w/Fig spread, brie cheese, fresh basil and a couple pasta dishes; Rigatoni Salsiccia (pasta tossed with Italian sausage, fresh herbs, roasted bell pepper light cream marinara sauce and parmesan cheese) and Gnocchi Carciofi (potato pasta tossed with artichoke hearts, grilled chicken breast, fresh tomato and basil pesto light cream sauce).
Finished with the Apple Tart and Chocolate Lava Cake. Delicious meal.
It looks like this will continue to be our annual tradition.

The food is delicious. We can recommend the salads, flatbread and pasta. Wine selection is good.
The service is excellent. We had Luciano waiting on us twice in the past couple of weeks. He has always a nice smile and is so friendly.
The ambiance is nice, too, both inside and outside. It feels very cozy. We’ll go back soon.

Decided to walk into this place on a rainy night. The cozy and inviting vibes attracted us.
We ordered their classic Cask Flight. Turned out to be really good. Two reds and one white, a safe choice to get a bit of everything. Hummus pitta bread and olives both are very good and presented beautifully.
I was impressed they have a whole wall the wine selection. Definitely a great place for flights.
The service is also very attentive. We’ll come back soon.

Great place! Came at 7 and had a nice table outside. Service here is amazing! They moved the heating lamps for us and turned down the music (my hubby’s request). Glad we were outside as inside is very noisy so just know before you go. The do have a lovely outside setup.
Wine list is fantastic! Something for every taste and very generous pours. I had the Riesling which was quite good. Food is delicious. I had the pork tacos (3) and hubby had the rigatoni. He cleaned his plate and the tacos were delicious. For dessert we split the bread pudding and it is excellent.
Thank you Cask! We will be back.

Last evening we had dinner at The Cask. It was superb. We each ordered the roasted chicken with a risotto which was so full of flavors. The Rombauer Sauvignon was a great accompaniment to these dishes.
The waiter was attentive and very upbeat. The place was hopping last night. Can’t wait to go again soon.

I was hosted by friends on a Tuesday night. We sat outside with their dog. I had spare rib tacos from the special menu and they each had seafood items off the main menu. We shared gelato and a bottle of wine. Everything was DELICIOUS (capital letters all the way through!) Franklin was efficient and exceptionally kind.

I’ve been coming here for years and food is so delicious, I love this place the owner is amazing he is the only one that I know that on Thanksgiving he feeds over 500 homeless.
This is a great gesture we should all support this place he has a wonderful heart.

It’s been over 8 years since I reviewed Cask, and 8 years later, we are still regular customers. I’m so happy that the food and the vibe have remained top notch all these years.
The service continues to be friendly and attentive. One of the new (ish) things we love is the addition of their outdoor parklet. It’s built well and has really nice feel. The Cask is remains one of our favorite places in San Carlos.

You must come here! We had the best Thanksgiving ever at Cask! Normally we spend the holiday with family and friends, but this year my husband and I were on our own. We decided to give ourselves a break from preparing a big dinner for only the two of us. My husband decided we should go to San Carlos because we love the small town feeling and the great restaurants. Turns out most places were closed for the day (who knew? Lol me), but Cask was open. They sat us right away which amazed me. Everybody was so welcoming and kind. Thank you to Paul for making us feel at home. The owner, Kamal, definitely cares about his community! We were completely blown away to learn (after we ordered 2 additional meals to go) that the owner was feeding people for free! Obviously everyone loves a free meal but seeing how this place supported their community was amazing! We saw it in action, this is a place we’re everyone knows your name. And the meal was delicious! And the decor is beautiful. We appreciate everyone working behind the scenes too! We will absolutely be back! And we’re bringing everyone we know! Spend your money here.

Been here a few times now and I really need to adjust my mental model because every time my wife suggests it I feel unenthused for some reason, but we always have a great meal.
They’re located on the busy part of Laurel Street in San Carlos. They have a beautiful inside as well as a very nice outdoor setup.
Their wine flights are so great for those of us who like variety and can’t make a decision…
All the food we’ve had here has been excellent.
The warm cabbage salad has just the right amount of mushrooms, bacon, and blue cheese to give it a very rich and fulfilling flavor, with a nice crunchy texture. The small salad is a great size for sharing.
Their skirt steak is outstanding. Tender and sweet. Served with a perfectly reasonable garlic mash (it’s good, but it’s not something I would rave about) and a beautifully cooked and seasoned side of broccoli and Brussels.
Their flat breads are great for sharing or as a main course.
My friends enjoyed the taco special and their sausage pasta as well.
Service was very good, too.
You should definitely give it a try.
