July 4th Parade, Fest & Fireworks 2024
The Festival offers a valuable opportunity for community service organizations to raise funds by selling food and merchandise or distributing information about their causes. Attendees can also enjoy arts and crafts booths and entertainment, attracting thousands right after the parade.
Since 1939, the Peninsula Celebration Association has been proudly operated by our dedicated volunteers. Our goal is to transform our city into a genuine community of caring individuals, making it more than just a place to live.
Arts & Crafts Booths
Presented by California Artists, there is a wide variety of items, all hand-crafted by talented artists that are available for purchase. Items include paintings, fine jewelry, pottery, clothing, flower arrangements, woodcrafts, sculpture, toys & more.
Food and Beverages
This area is located on Middlefield. Support your favorite local non-profit organization. Many of the non-profit organizations in the area use this event as a major fund-raising opportunity. Much of their revenue for the year will come from this event.

4th Of July In The Park – Concert & Kids’ Fun 2024
This FREE event will be from 11:00am-2:00pm in Central Park on Thursday July 4, 2024.
- 11:00am – Crafts, family games, hair spray-painting, airbrush tattoos, and more!
- 11:45am – National Anthem
- 12:00pm – Concert Begins – Band: Club 90 (Party Mix)
Wear your best red, white, & blue and enjoy a lovely day in the park under the sun! Notice: Due to the heat advisory, we’ll have cooling stations and umbrellas will be allowed up during the performance!

Crafts will be given out on a first come first serve basis and while supplies last. Thank you to A-Z Creativity for providing a fun craft for the day!

Menlo Park
Local Event: 4th Of July Celebration & Parade 2024
New parade route and festival location in 2024! Come dressed up in red, white and blue! Decorate your bike or wagon and participate in this fun-filled people parade at Burgess Park. Parade participants should meet at the corner of Laurel Street and Burgess Drive (at the tennis court parking lot) at 10:30 a.m. Parade will start at 11:00 a.m.
After the parade ends, stay for the festival at Burgess Park! Food, games, family-friendly activities, and live music will be awaiting parade participants and spectators as they complete the parade route around Burgess Park.
Celebrate July 4 with a splash! Special $4 per person family swim days at City-owned swim centers on July 4*, until pools hit maximum capacity.

*Swimming pools will close at 5:00 p.m. on July 4 in observance of the holiday.
Live music!
Our 4th of July live music artist, Lady and The Tramps is ready to rock! Since 2016, Lady and the Tramps have been known for their eclectic mix of Rock & Roll, R&B/Soul, Blues, and even a few standards. They bring unique, original arrangements to familiar songs, creating a fresh musical experience for their audience.

4th Of July Summer Festival & Chili Cook-Off 2024: Mitchell Park, Palo Alto.
The City of Palo Alto Recreation Division invites you to our 4th of July Summer Festival and Chili Cook-Off at Mitchell Park on Thursday, July 4, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Enjoy free chili tasting, live music by Steady Eddy & the Shakers, food trucks, and games and activities for kids such as inflatables and crafts. Bring your own chairs, picnic blankets, and reusable water bottles. Walking and/or Biking is strongly encouraged as parking is limited!
The National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning and heat advisory for Tuesday, July 2 through Tuesday, July 9. Temperatures are expected to range between 93 to 99 degrees. Find tips and resources to stay safe in hot weather.
- Open Division: The open division is for anyone that wants to share their amazing cooking to the community (families/friends encouraged!).
