DESCRIPTION:Deep Sea Disco Dance: The 2025 Youth Center Dance Event\, A Night for Middle Schoolers to Shine\nSan Carlos’ Youth Center is rolling out the fog machine (metaphorically) and stringing up the lights for an event that promises music\, friends\, and just the right amount of sparkle: the Deep Sea Disco Dance. On Friday\, September 19\, 2025\, from 7:00–9:00 PM\, the Activity Room will transform into a groovy undersea dance floor exclusively for 6th\, 7th\, and 8th graders. \nThis is a safe\, fun space for middle schoolers to hang out\, dance\, and enjoy a Friday night together — no parents hovering nearby\, but with plenty of Youth Center staff on hand to keep things structured. \nWhat to Expect\n\nMusic: A DJ spinning disco vibes mixed with beachy tracks\, so expect both funky basslines and summer-ready tunes.\nSnacks: Available for just $1 each (cash only) — bring a little pocket change.\nTheme: It’s a Deep Sea Disco — so get creative! Picture disco ball meets beach party: bright colors\, sequins\, Hawaiian shirts\, or glow-in-the-dark flair.\n\n  \n \nDress Code\nWhile creativity is encouraged\, there are a few ground rules to keep things fun and safe: \n\nNo Sagging: Crotch seam length must not inhibit natural and safe movement and may not be lower than mid-thigh.\nClothing shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments at all times.\nSee-through or fishnet fabrics\, halter tops\, off-the-shoulder\, low-cut tops\, baremidriffs and skirts or shorts shorter than mid-thigh are prohibited.\nShoes must be worn at all times.\nShoes must permit safe movement.\n\nRestrictions on freedom of student dress will be imposed by the Youth Center staff whenever the mode of dress in question is: \n\nUnsafe either to the student or those around the student\nDisruptive to event operations\nContrary to law.\n\nStudents who are in violation of the dress code will be expected to comply by a variety of means including but not limited to: reversing their clothes (wearing the shirt inside out)\, wearing provided cover-up garment\, having the item of clothing removed or contacting parents/guardians to provide a change of clothes. \nAdmission Rules\n\nSingle entry only. Once a student is admitted\, they may not leave early without a parent/guardian’s permission.\nMiddle schoolers only.
