Enroll them for a personalized reading session with a therapy dog at the library. \n \nResearch indicates that children\, who may feel uneasy reading in the presence of their peers\, experience significantly less anxiety when accompanied by an animal. Animals are perceived as non-judgmental\, and reading to them fosters confidence in young readers.
