During this special community event\, the tiniest ghouls and ghosts can explore Laurel Street while collecting delicious Halloween treats from participating local businesses. \nChildren ages seven and under are invited to participate\, provided they are accompanied by an adult. This age-specific gathering creates a welcoming opportunity for younger children to experience the fun of trick-or-treating in a community setting. \nFamilies can stroll along the designated section of Laurel Street\, admire the creative costumes\, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. From adorable pumpkins and friendly monsters to little princesses\, dinosaurs\, and classic Halloween characters\, the event offers plenty of opportunities for children to express their creativity. \nParents and guardians can also enjoy spending quality time with their children while introducing them to a beloved Halloween tradition. \nTrick-or-Treat Along Downtown Laurel Street\nThe highlight of Goblin Walk is the opportunity to go trick-or-treating along Downtown Laurel Street\, from San Carlos Avenue to Arroyo Avenue. \nDuring the event\, participating businesses displaying an official Goblin Walk sign will serve as designated candy stops. Children can visit these locations in their Halloween costumes and collect treats from participating merchants. \nThe marked candy stops make it easier for families to identify participating businesses and enjoy the planned trick-or-treating route. The event also offers local merchants a chance to welcome families\, connect with neighborhood residents\, and participate in a popular seasonal celebration. \nFor parents planning to attend\, comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing can help make the outing more enjoyable. Consider arriving early so your family has enough time to explore the route before the event concludes at 5:30 p.m. \nAs always\, adults should accompany their children throughout the activity and follow any event instructions provided by organizers and volunteers. \nFree Goblin Walk Trick-or-Treat Bags for the First 600 Participants\nOne exciting feature of Goblin Walk 2026 is the special trick-or-treat bag giveaway. The first 600 trick-or-treaters can receive a Goblin Walk Trick-or-Treat bag from the Parks and Recreation tent or from a Goblin Walk volunteer. \nThese bags provide a convenient way for children to collect and carry their Halloween goodies as they visit participating businesses along Laurel Street. \nBecause the giveaway is limited to the first 600 trick-or-treaters\, arriving early is a smart idea for families who want to improve their chances of receiving one. However\, bag availability depends on the number of participants and the remaining supplies when you arrive. \nBring your children’s favorite costumes\, prepare for an afternoon of Halloween excitement\, and get ready to explore the downtown area together. \nLocal Businesses Can Participate as Candy Stops\nGoblin Walk is not only a fun activity for families but also an opportunity for Downtown San Carlos businesses to participate in the Halloween festivities. \nLaurel Street businesses interested in becoming official candy stops can register through the city’s designated online registration form. Participating merchants can welcome young trick-or-treaters\, distribute candy\, and contribute to the friendly community atmosphere that makes the event special. \nBusinesses can access the registration form here: \nhttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeeeFy1iTHa60tFm7zjQxKZU7YRsNsqQvCKIgTvS5TxjaoIww/viewform?usp=dialog \nBy joining Goblin Walk\, local businesses can engage with families\, strengthen community connections\, and help create a memorable Halloween experience for San Carlos residents. \nTips for Enjoying Goblin Walk With Your Family\nA little preparation can help make your Halloween outing even more enjoyable. \nChoose a comfortable costume. Select an outfit that allows your child to walk easily and see clearly. If the costume includes accessories\, make sure they are safe and manageable for a young child. \nArrive early. The first 600 trick-or-treaters can receive a special event bag\, so consider arriving before the 4:00 p.m. start time if practical. \nStay together. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Keep young participants close while visiting businesses and crossing streets. \nFollow event signage. Look for the official Goblin Walk signs displayed by participating merchants and follow directions from event volunteers. \nBring a reusable bag. Although special event bags are available while supplies last\, having a backup can be helpful for collecting treats. \nCelebrate Halloween in Downtown San Carlos\nGoblin Walk 2026 offers a delightful way for families with young children to celebrate Halloween in Downtown San Carlos.
