SUMMARY:Let’s Go Fly A Kite! At the San Carlos Airport 2023
DESCRIPTION:Event included with Museum admission. \nLet’s Go Fly A Kite on the San Carlos Airport.\nThis is a once in a life time chance to fly a kite on an airport. Normally kite flying is not permitted around airports for obvious reasons. You don’t want an airplane running into a high flying kite but on September 23 the airport is closed to aircraft traffic due to runway improvement construction and the airport management has given the Hiller Museum the green light to fly our kites. \n \nThere are three ways to join in on the fun: \nMake a “Sled” kite out of paper at our kite construction table led by Museum education staff. Get a head start and get the Sled Kite template\nPurchase a museum “dazzle” kite or a commercial kite in our gift shop\nBring your own kite to fly* \n*If you bring your own kite we do have a few restrictions: \nNo combat kites\nNo large kites over 4 feet in diameter\nKites cannot be flown over 300 feet high\nKites are subject to museum and airport approval \nEvent included with museum admission. Event is free to museum members. \n \nBeen Cleared for Take Off!!! \nhttps://www.hiller.org/event/fly-a-kite/ \n\nSee other interesting events in San Carlos. You may also check the main calendar for the dates of these\, or to save them on your personal calendar. \n\n\nDon't miss out!Subscribe To San Carlos LifeAdd your email here to subscribe to all things San Carlos Invalid email address Give it a try.
