Middle schoolers at SCC built their own gravity-powered race cars (yes\, they really did that)\, and now they’re ready to put their creations to the test. Think: science meets speed meets “please don’t crash.” \n \n  \nThe best part? It’s totally free and totally fun. Here’s what’s going down: \n\nBBQ that slaps – burgers\, dogs\, and grill vibes\nLive jams by the student-teacher band (we see you\, Mr. M on the drums)\nAnd a Centennial Car kicking off the action\, because San Carlos is turning 100 and we’re not letting that slide under the radar\n\nIt’s all happening right at the SCC campus\, and it’s the perfect way to wrap up the school year—with good food\, good weather\, and a whole lot of cheering for some seriously cool student-built race cars. \nBig shoutout to SCEF\, San Carlos Lions Club\, and all the local legends who made this event possible. \nSo if you’re into creativity\, community\, and watching homemade cars zoom down a track at slightly terrifying speeds… Derby Day is your scene.
