Hosted by Healthy Cities Tutoring\, this event will take place on Friday\, January 24\, 2025\, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the San Carlos Library in the 2nd Floor Community Rooms (610 Elm St.\, San Carlos). \nEvent Details\n\nDate: Friday\, January 24\, 2025\nTime: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM\nLocation: San Carlos Library\, 610 Elm St.\, 2nd Floor Community Rooms\n\nWhat to Expect\nThis exciting contest will bring together winners from local schools to compete in their respective age groups for amazing prizes. Each age group will crown a champion\, and the competition will culminate in the announcement of the overall San Carlos City-Wide Roshambo Champion! \nWhether you’re a participant or a spectator\, this event is sure to be a fun and spirited experience. Cheer on the players\, enjoy the friendly competition\, and soak in the excitement as students showcase their skills in this classic game. \nOfficial Rules of Roshambo\n\nThe Setup: Each player makes a fist and taps it three times on their other hand or a hard surface\, counting aloud.\nThe Throw: On the third tap\, players distinctly throw one of three choices: Rock\, Paper\, or Scissors.\nWinning Moves:\n\nRock beats Scissors (dulls them).\nPaper beats Rock (covers it).\nScissors beat Paper (cut it).\n\n\nScoring:\n\nPlayers earn 1 point for a winning throw.\nIf both players throw the same move\, no points are awarded—try again.\n\n\nMatch Format:\n\nA player must win 2 out of 3 throws to win a game and 2 games to win the match.\n\n\n\nFamily Fun and Community Spirit\nThis event is part of the Week of the Family and is happening alongside Family Game Night at the same venue and time\, making it a perfect evening of fun for all ages.
