There are plenty of fun things to do in Clearfield Park for both kids and adults. Laureola Park is a small community park tucked behind Holly Street with street parking on Bayport Court. The lawn offers a play area for kids and basketball courts for youth and adult games.

Experience the excitement of flight at the Smithsonian-affiliated Hiller Aviation Museum. See a replica 1903 Wright Flyer up close and take a ride in an FAA-approved full-motion flight simulator. Then, watch small aircraft land and take off from the San Carlos Airport while enjoying breakfast or lunch at the airport’s Sky Kitchen cafe.

Spend an afternoon sipping local wines on the San Carlos Wine Trail. Start on Washington Street with wines from Cuvée Wine Cellars, Flying Suitcase Wines, and Russian Ridge Winery. Then turn the corner onto Industrial Road and end with a taste from Domenico Winery. The San Carlos Farmers Market happens in the same area Sunday mornings.

Bair Island Ecological Reserve is a great place to explore local nature. Walk, jog or bike the trail and listen to the breeze pass through marsh grasses, and be on the lookout for Snowy Egrets and other shorebirds.
